Q. Why Brides Unveiled?

Q. When should I have the photographs taken?
We recommend that the shoot take place at least two months before the big day. This leaves plenty of time to get the final product to you.

Q. I don’t live locally; can I still book the session with you?
We are based in Weston-super-Mare, near Bristol however we do have ladies that travel from far and wide. Our local train station is just around the corner; we can even pick you up! After your session we can upload your images to our website* with a password if you are unable to travel back to view them.

Q. Where does the session take place?
Our Brides Unveiled sessions take place at our modern state of the art studio. We have a large reception area, as well as a makeup suite and large studio with props, different backdrops and professional lighting.

Q. What do I need to bring with me?
We ask you to bring 4 to 5 sets of matching lingerie/outfits including your Bridal underwear, veil, garter and shoes. Also remember to bring some killer heels, or maybe jeans, gloves, stockings, suspender belts as well as lots of jewellery to accessorize your look. We also suggest bringing hair extensions and false eye lashes if you wish to create a more dramatic look, our makeup artiste will assist you with these. For one final look bring something that belongs to your husband to be; his favourite shirt or football shirt. If you need some inspiration take a look at our gallery to give you some more ideas.

Q. What happens when I arrive?
You will be greeted by Jodie and taken into our Makeup Suite where you will talk through the look you would like to achieve with our professional makeup artiste. After an hour of pampering, Jodie will go through your outfits with you, and then you will be taken in to the studio where she will create a beautiful set of photographs.

Q. Can I bring a friend or family member to the session?
Yes of course you can, it often helps brides relax. During your hair and makeup we sit and chat while you are pampered, however we do ask that while you are in the studio having your photographs it is just you and Jodie.

Q. How will I know what positions and poses to sit in?
Jodie will guide you through a selection of poses to help show off your best features and hide those areas your not so confident about! It’s surprising how the placing of your leg can make you look a size smaller.

Q. Can you ‘air brush’ me?
Yes we air brush all our images, however during the shoot we work hard to ensure these areas are hidden already. We like to keep the air brushing to a minimum helping to keep the photographs as natural as possible.

Q. How long will I be at the studio?
The whole experience normally takes around two hours, one for your hair and makeup and one in the studio itself. However we do not book back-to-back Brides Unveiled sessions, so if we over run, we over run! This makes sure everyone is relaxed and we capture all the right images.

What happens after the session?
We invite you back a week later to view your images (this can be anywhere between 40-60 images). Jodie will talk through with you all the different options of displaying your photographs; our gorgeous portfolios, CD of images, canvas’s or just prints. At our previews there is no hard sell or pressure to purchase, we let the images do the talking.

Q. Will you use my photographs?
We would love to use your images after the session, however we do ask permission from you first. All our photos in our gallery are real women.

Q. If I’m not engaged to be married, am I still able to have a session?
Yes of course you are, our Brides Unveiled session is open to anyone. If you are looking to go into modelling Jodie can help create your portfolio or add to it. She has also photographed Glamour models and had some of her work in the lad’s magazine Zoo!

Q. I would like to buy a Brides Unveiled session for a partner/friend, can I do this?
Yes, we have gift voucher available. You can buy the session on its own or add a value so the person can put this towards a final product.
