Every woman should feel confident and happy with their body image, however we never are! Bingo wings, cellulite, lumps and bumps, we are never happy! As a Bride-to-be you want to feel amazing and beautiful on your special day particularly in your photographs. Simply standing a certain way can take inches off; bending the nearest leg towards a camera and putting your weight on the back leg can create great length in your legs as well as pushing your bum and hips back away from the camera. Stars on the red carpet do it, so why shouldn’t you?

We at Brides Unveiled, love giving women their confidence back with our Boudoir photo shoots. It is a great way of showing your man (and yourself) how truly beautiful and sexy you are! All the ladies that Jodie, our female photographer has photographed have been nervous, but with our fabulous Mac makeup artists and guidance with posing, expression and outfits our team will help create an amazing set of intimate photographs that you will both love. All our clients find the experience liberating and uplifting, I know, you thought you would never do something like this, but that’s what they all say! Go on and give it a go... you will be surprised by the results!

Meet the team

Jodie

Jodie is the creator and photographer of Brides Unveiled. She started up the company as part of JD Photography in 2007. She loves the way her sessions can give ladies a new found confidence and boost before the most important day of their lives… also loving how it blows the minds of the grooms who receive the images! She has loved photography from an early age, spending all her spare cash developing film after film. Jodie gained a high photography qualification at the young age of just 23 and has had her work featured in many of the industries magazines. A bit of a daredevil at heart she has walked over hot coals, skydived and soon to be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to help raise money for local charities. Jodie also loves spending time with friends and family, her cat Bailey, eating chocolate, watching Disney and buying new shoes!

Vicky

Vicky is one of our amazing make up artist here at Brides Unveiled; she has been with us since day one in 2007. As well as working for us Vicky is a makeup consultant and has worked with some big stars like Melanie B from the spice girls. She has a huge range of makeup (you have no idea how much!) and is also a qualified beauty therapist.

Vikkie

Vikkie is another one of our amazing makeup artists! Vikkie joined the BU team in 2009 and has created some amazing looks for our Brides to be. She is also a qualified hair dresser and has worked with stars such as Justin Lee Collins a local legend of ours! She loves to paint, hanging out with friends and loves chocolate!

Natalie

Natalie is our third and most recent makeup artist to join the team; she is a qualified beauty therapist and is currently training in hair dressing. She has already gained experience by working on the set of ‘The Café’, Sky One and came third in a World Skills UK Competition for beauty therapy. She enjoys watching football, particularly Bristol City FC and loves shopping with her girls.

Claudia

Claudia helps us at large exhibitions we attend, chatting to the Brides to be and explaining how liberating BU can be! Claudia has had two brides’ unveiled sessions, yes two! One was a personal gift for an anniversary and the second was Jodie’s first location Brides Unveiled on her hubbys motorbike which took place in a barn with horses watching! A day both Claudia and Jodie will not forget, it was such a giggle! She loves spending time with her new hubby and family specially her gorgeous nephew Edd.

Gemma

Gemma also helps us out at some of our large exhibitions such as Cardiff and Exeter WestPoint. Gemma was the very first BU session Jodie ever photographed way back in 2007 before she married her wonderful hubby.  She is also a qualified beautician and has recently had a beautiful baby girl Phoebe who we all love having cuddles with!
